Today I worked the Alpha Kappa Lambda service project, its called “These Hands Dont Hurt”  and it give money to battered women’s shelters.

This is such a good cause and I was very happy to be a part of it.

My mom used to work at a battered womens shelter (she is a clinical social worker) and so I know that she is very proud of me for working at things like this, because they educate people while also collecting money for a good cause.

If you donate a dollar then they let you trace your hand on a board, and that is your pledge that your hands wont hurt.

It makes people think not only about others but also about their own relationships.

I have my italian final starting on friday and the scond part is on monday.

I have had this teacher for two semesters now and I really like how she does finals.  She is the one teacher who seems like she doesnt do it just to mess up your grade.  She makes it more of a grade rasier.

She tells you what to study fo what day and that is what is going to be on the test, sometimes less.

Although this seems easy with so much going on in  a foriegn language it is so hard to remember what to study and what not to worry about.

I think she actually cares about her students and wants them to do well, where a lot of teachers really do not seem to care at all.

Today I have a quiz in homeland security which is a big deal, and also my third stats test.

I have studied for both but I am still very nervous about how this is going to turn out.  This semester has been quite the roller coaster for me and I am a little nervous to see what my grades are going to be.

As of right now, it is not looking that great, but who knows.

Hopefully I can do well on my finals (well see) and get through this semester.

Anyways I need to go study for my thrid test in stats and my quiz in homeland security. Hopefully I do well!

I talked to my advisor today and offically declared my major.

It kind of a relief considering how much time and effort I spend trying to pick a major.  So anyways after speaking with my advisor I am offically an Urban Studies and Planning major.

I am very excited because I feel this is a field where I will be able to excel and also something that I could find some enjoyment in.

Anyways, my advisor was very helpful in assisting me to decide on a major and even what sort of career options I should start to look at.

Life seems to come so quickly and I cannot beleive that I will be soon starting my own career and be out in the “real world”

Formal was really fun.  I got so many cute pictures and had a great time just dancing the night away with all my good friends and my boyfriend. 

Although some people think that sororities are dumb and they are just paying for your friends, i diagree.  Well I guess that that is obvious since I am in one, but I genuinely think that they give people something to be active in, while providing a social base as well.

I think that getting to do something like formal that I would get it do normally def provides something to look forward to and a basis for planning all these things.

Formal was a succuess and gave me an excuse to dress up, which I love to do, but hate seeming overdressed.

Tomorrow night is my first formal and I am pretty exicted, i know its probably just like prom but it def makes a difference in your weekend when you have something like this planned and it isnt just the same old go out and drink routine.

I am bringing my boyfriend and I am hoping he has a good time, I wouldnt want him to sit around be bored the whole time.

I also got a dress.  It is hot pink and my friend Katie describes me as a “cupcake” in it.  I think that is cute.  Anyways I really think it will be a goodtime.

And even though it is downtown at a hotel they provide a bus so that no one has to worry about driving.

Today is wednesday and it is probably oneof my favorite days of the week.  Like many people my mom calls wednesday ‘hump day’ cause your finally over that hump.  I love the expression because it has come to form how i view my weeks, and once I get to wednesday that downhill run starts to begin.

My schedule this year supports it too because my classes really start to calm down towards the end of the week.

Anyways it really helps me keep my stress in check by jus telling myself that I only have to make it to wednesday and then my week is downhill from there.

I guess I also love it because it will always remind me of my mom saying, you made it to hump day!! After today your over the hump.

I really need a dress for formal, but I have one problem.

Every time I need a dress for something I always have a specific design in the back of my mind which causes me to be unable to decided on something.

I can never find something in real life that compares to what I want in my head. I wish I could make my own dresses.

For example, I went to this cocktail party and was looking for the perfect dress, the whole time I have this image of what I want, but of course, i cant find it, so i run out of time to look for a dress and end up just wearing something I already have.

Anyways I really hope I can find a dress.
